Travel Ball Curriculum, Speakers Wrap Up Saturday’s Convention Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – We wrap up the “inside look” at the speaker portion of the 2015 NFCA National Convention, Dec. 2-5 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Playing an important role at the convention, these segments are designed to allow attendees to learn from their peers and other professionals associated with the game of softball.

Leading off the afternoon portion of the speaker schedule is Be The Momentum Co-Founder, Chicago Bandit and NFCA Manager of Marketing Emily Allard, whose segment focuses on slapping. Following Allard is Michigan Strength & Condition Coach Lew Porchiazzo and his presentation – “Effective Collaboration and Integration to Maximize Physical Performance and Sustain Competitive Excellence.” Sam Ekstrand of the law firm Ekstrand & Ekstrand will present “The Best Defense is a Good Offense.”

After receiving positive reviews in 2014, the Travel Ball Curriculum is back for a second year. It is designed as an education session where travel ball coaches (high school & youth are welcome) can interact with college head coaches from each level in a forum setting. In addition, the attendees will receive recruiting education from the NCSA and mental training skills from Aaron Weintraub.

The college head coaches panel will feature Northern Illinois’ Christina Sutcliffe, Purdue’s Kim Schuette, Washington’s Heather Tarr, North Georgia’s Mike Davenport, Eastern Connecticut’s Diana Pepin, Mt. San Antonio College’s Ruby Rojas and Davenport University’s McCall Salmon.
