Shorthanded Enfield Police Department Seeking To Hire New Officers

ENFIELD, CT — Like other law enforcement agencies in the area, the Enfield Police Department is on a recruiting drive to help fill a half-dozen officer vacancies within its force.

“Everyone is having trouble finding quality applicants, and we’re no exception,” Chief Alaric
Fox said. “I’ve just hired three, and in the period it took to bring them in, I’ve had two separate. I’m sitting on six current openings.”

There is an expedited hiring process for already-certified officers. Starting salaries range from $75,691 to $91,728, and benefit packages include, but are not limited to:

Several relatively new employees told Patch of their experience thus far with the Enfield force.
