Security Guard Stabbed During Fight At Burlington Co. Restaurant: Cops
MARLTON, NJ — A security guard got stabbed Saturday while trying to break up a fight at The Chicken Or The Egg in Marlton, police said. The suspect has been arrested.
Marcus Brown, 28, of Voorhees, stabbed the security guard twice, police said. The victim was in stable condition as of Saturday.
Officers responded to the reported stabbing at about 1 a.m., rendering first aid to the victim to control the bleeding. Brown attempted to flee the scene, but arriving law enforcement detained him, according to the Evesham Police Department.

Brown and the security guard were transported to Cooper University Hospital for their injuries.
The investigation found that the victim — a security guard for the restaurant — got stabbed while attempting to break up a fight between Brown and another male, according to police. Authorities said they recovered the knife at the scene.

Brown was charged with aggravated assault (second-degree) and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third-degree). He was placed in Burlington County Jail, pending a court appearance.
