Purse With Loaded Gun Found Inside Walmart, Shopper Charged: EPPD

CHICAGO — A Chicago woman was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after she left her purse containing a loaded gun in Walmart, reports said.

Evergreen Park police went to Walmart, 2500 block of West 95th Street, for a report of a found gun on March 2.

An employee told police he found a purse on a shelf inside the store containing a loaded 9mm gun. Walmart Loss Prevention identified the owner of the purse as Jasmine D. Jackson, 30, who appeared on security cameras still shopping in the store, police said.

Jackson had a valid FOID, but not a conceal-carry license, according to reports.
