PSG-bound Hakim Ziyech rejected Newcastle and Everton

Foot Mercato are reporting that Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech (29), who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan, rejected Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Everton.

The French publication now reports that talks are ongoing between Chelsea and PSG over a deal that will include a buy option at the end of the season. It had previously been revealed that the loan would not include an option to make the deal permanent.

PSG’s advances come after failed moves for other targets. Rayan Cherki, Malcom and Johan Bakayoko had all been cited as potential replacements for Pablo Sarabia, who left the Parc des Princes to join Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in January. However, Les Parisiens are financially restricted this month and the club preferred loan deals, which ultimately made negotiations difficult.

It has now been revealed by Foot Mercato that Ziyech rejected approaches from Newcastle and Everton, and is now keen to join PSG. The Moroccan international has already begun speaking to players about his potential arrival.
