New Frankfort Police Officer Sworn In

FRANKFORT, IL — A new police officer was sworn in to the Frankfort Police Department at the Village Board meeting on Tuesday.

Officer Owen Sieb took his oath of office at Tuesday’s meeting, after completing initial training requirements and a probationary period.

Mayor Keith Ogle said Sieb is a Frankfort native and graduated from Lincoln-Way East High School and earned an Associate’s degree from Joliet Junior College.

“In 2015, [Owen] began his journey with the Frankfort Police Department as a police cadet,” Ogle said.

Sieb was appointed as a community service officer in 2018, and aspired to become a police officer, which he achieved in June 2022, Ogle said.

Sieb thanked his friends, family and coworkers for their support.
