Masked Man Tries To Rob TV News Anchor In Danville
DANVILLE, CA — KTVU anchor Heather Holmes said that a masked man tried to rob her while she was stopped at a red light in Danville.
“I was tracked, followed & victimized,” Holmes, who has anchored for KTVU since 2006, wrote Sunday on social media. “Masked man attempted to steal my handbag from the front seat of my car at a red light in Danville. I’m okay, but it was terrifying. Happened within seconds!”
She posted photos showing a smashed passenger window.

The case is being handled by the California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Division Investigative Services Unit. CHP Officer Andrew Barclay told Patch that the incident occurred Saturday, June 22 at around 6:30 p.m. at the El Cerro Boulevard offramp from I-680 southbound. Barclay said that the investigation is ongoing, and did not provide any further information.
