City elections are traditionally non-partisan and candidates must run as independents, according to both the city charter and the Code of Virginia. No party affiliation or “mark” will appear next to any of the candidates’ names on the Nov. 5 ballot. Have you been endorsed by a recognized political party or have you aligned yourself with a group of candidates representing themselves as independent, non-partisan candidates, including candidates running in other city races? Please check the answer that is most appropriate.

Please elaborate on your answer to the previous question and explain how this will affect the way you will serve on the city council

I will not be beholden to any political organization or party regarding how I make my decisions that support our wonderful city. I am running as an independent and have never had any affiliation with any political party.

How does your status as described in the two previous questions help Fairfax City voters choose a candidate that aligns with their particular political beliefs?

Why are you seeking elective office?

The reason I’m running is to give back and contribute to this wonderful city, which has given me so much. The educators, coaches, mentors, and close friends I met in Fairfax during my formative years made a positive, life-changing impact on me.

The single most pressing issue facing voters is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

I would like to partner with our police leadership and help them increase the total number of volunteer hours from the community by 15% by the end of 2026. This will help alleviate some of the administrative tasks, helping enable our sworn officers to focus on what they are uniquely qualified to do. I would also like to personally assist with their recruiting efforts and brainstorm ways to incentive our Law Enforcement Officers to live in the City. (Financial incentives)

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am not seeking a higher level political office or further political gain from this campaign. My objective is to help leave the city better for the next generation (my five kids included).

Fairfax City is poised to be a leading example of what a small city can be in North America and Globally. Our access to educational opportunities, culturally diverse population, and proximity to a major city could all benefit us in the long run.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)?

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Education is the cornerstone of any modern society and is directly correlated with reducing crime and giving residents the ability to gain critical skills to compete in the global work force.

There are many diverse educational opportunities within our city limits and Fairfax County at large that can help ensure our children maintain a competitive edge in the fast-paced, global workplace. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are critical skill sets more than ever to ensure our children have the best chance of success. I also support the current contract we have with Fairfax County.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have successfully led troops in Combat (Afghanistan – Operation Enduring Freedom), built police stations there to support the local security efforts, grown publicly traded and private businesses, and have a love for speaking up for things I believe in.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Live a life in alignment with your values and always work to improve your mind, body, and spirit.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I absolutely love Fairfax City and I am a die hard patriot who also loves the United States. I would do just about anything to protect what we have here in the USA, including, but not limited to, strapping on body armor and going to war to defend our country.
