Iain Henderson steamrolled four Welsh defenders to draw Ireland level

AFTER FINDING THEMSELVES on the back foot for much of the opening half at the Aviva Stadium, Ireland chose the perfect moment to hit back and level the scores just before the interval.

It was a terrific response to a difficult opening period for Joe Schmidt’s men as Iain Henderson shrugged off the attention of four Welsh shirts to power his way over from five metres out.

Wales were rewarded for a purposeful and powerful start when Justin Tipuric crossed the line after 23 minutes but Ireland are now firmly back in the contest.
