Felon Indicted On Manchester Rape, Gun Threat Charges: Court Roundup

MANCHESTER, NH — A Hillsborough County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

Lavaughn Barnett, 19, of Belmont Street in Manchester on contempt of court, five stalking, and two witness tampering charges, all felonies. He was accused of calling a protected party, an intimate party, more than 1,000 times between Sept. 5, 2023, and Jan. 28. Barnett was accused of telling the partner, “At the end of the day, I want you to be exclusively mine, nobody else’s,” or words to that effect. On Sept. 12, 2023, in Manchester, he was accused of attempting to get the party not to testify.

Meaghan L. Bearse, 37, of Summer Street in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, on a felony burglary charge. She was accused of burglarizing a Somerville Street structure on Dec. 5, 2023, in Manchester.

Avery M. Blodgett, 42, of Mason Court in Concord on a felony receiving stolen property-$1,501-plus, criminal mischief, theft by unauthorized taking, conduct after an accident, and resisting arrest or detention charges. He was accused of retaining and damaging a stolen Toyota Tacoma on Jan. 5 in New Boston, attempting to break into a 2017 Chevrolet truck on Jan. 6 in New Boston, and not stopping at the scene of a crash in New Boston on Jan. 5. Matthew Borden, 45, a homeless man now located in Manchester, on a felony second-degree assault charge. He was accused of striking an intimate partner with a metal broomstick on Nov. 8, 2023, in Manchester.

Katherine Boucher, 35, of Manchester Street in Manchester on falsifying physical evidence, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of fentanyl, and two possession of cocaine charges, all felonies, in Manchester.

Jasmine Brown, 29, of Kimball Street in Manchester on a felony second-degree assault charge. She was accused of strangling an intimate partner on Oct. 10, 2023, in Manchester.

Leela Cable, 28, of Walnut Street in Manchester on sale of a controlled drug-fentanyl and sale of a controlled drug-fentanyl-death resulting charges, both felonies. She was accused of dispensing fentanyl on Feb. 17, 2023, in Manchester to another person which led to their death.

Patrick Capobianco, 36, of Mason Road in Milford on criminal threatening and reckless conduct charges, both felonies. He was accused of threatening another person with a knife and attempting to run their vehicle off the road in Bedford on Aug. 9, 2023.

Jimmie Carlton, 57, of Union Street in Littletown on aggravated felonious sexual assault, criminal threatening, armed career criminals, criminal restraint, and felon in possession of a deadly weapon charges, all felonies. He was accused of raping and threatening a woman with a handgun on Nov. 4, 2021, in Manchester.

Marcell Caron, 46, of First Street in Mont Vernon on a felony receiving stolen property charge. He was accused of possessing a stolen handgun in Deering on Nov. 21, 2023.

Jason Coffin, 20, with a last known address of Patricia Road in Marlborough, Massachusetts, on five aggravated felonious sexual assault charges. He was accused of raping a child between Dec. 18 and Dec. 21, 2021, July 1 and July 8, 2022, June 30 and July 4, 2023, and Aug. 10 and Aug. 12, 2023, in Hillsboro.
