Coronavirus: Indian policeman sings Bollywood song to urge people to stay home
Dubai: The video of an Indian policeman crooning a Bollywood song to urge people to stay home amid rising coronavirus cases has gone viral on social media.
###
Shot in Pune, Maharashtra on Thursday, the 30-second video clip shows a uniformed policeman using a cordless microphone to deliver a perfect rendition of “Zindagi maut na ban jaye, sambhalo yaaron...(Friends, ensure that life doesn’t turn into death)”, from Aamir Khan-starrer Sarfarosh.

At a time when policemen in India are drawing flak for caning lockdown violators, this cop’s creative approach to drive home the message of social distancing is winning praises.
###
On Friday, State home minister Anil Deshmukh posted the heart-warming video.
###
“A Maharashtra police constable breaks into a song in a bid to convince people to cooperate and stay indoors – hope people listen to his musical entreaty,” Deshmukh tweeted.
