Stray Bullet Hits Woman In Her Home Near Rutgers Campus
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A woman affiliated with Rutgers was hit by a stray bullet late Thursday night while inside her private home, said campus police.
The shooting happened at 2:03 a.m. Friday in the area of Easton Avenue and Hamilton Street: Rutgers Police responded to multiple reports of several gunshots fired in the area.
As a result of the gunshots, a woman was struck by a stray bullet within her private residence, said police. A second victim responded to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with injuries also related to the shooting.

All Rutgers Police will say is that both victims are affiliated with Rutgers University, meaning they could be students, professors or faculty. Police did not specify.
Both victims are being treated for their injuries at RWJUH.
