Happy Falafel Opening Another Location, Near Joliet
MINOOKA, IL — It’s now been five years since the residents of Joliet, Plainfield and Shorewood were introduced to a Mediterranean fast-food restaurant known as Happy Falafel. Five years later, Happy Falafel has attained 440 Google Reviews, averaging 4.6 stars. The popularity of Happy Falafel’s Joliet location, at 2119 Route 59, has apparently prompted its owners to add another location.
This past weekend, Joliet Patch’s editor discovered that there is a Happy Falafel Mediterranean Grill getting ready to open in Minooka, along Ridge Road near Route 6. The Happy Falafel will take over the empty storefront that is two doors down from the Jimmy John’s sub shop, near the Chase bank.
In 2019, Joliet Patch reported that the menu selections for the Happy Falafel opening on Route 59 were practically unheard of around Joliet’s far west side:

Over in Minooka along Ridge Road, the door to the Happy Falafel says its mailing address will be 27343 Saxony Road, Unit C. The date of the grand opening remains a mystery, for now.
For people who live in Minooka and Channahon, a second location for Happy Falafel will be welcome news.

About a week ago, a person named Shaun posted the following 5-star Google Review, regarding his experience at the Joliet Route 59 Happy Falafel:
“Food was incredible! I enjoyed a 4 meat plate and it did not disappoint. Loved every bite. Would definitely recommend this place if in the area.”
And there was this 5-star review, also a week back, from a person named Eltmas:
“Exceptional customer service paired with fantastic pricing! The mix platter was a delightful combination of flavors, and the basbosa dessert was simply divine. Highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience!”
Finally, this 5-star review came from Landon, about four months back:
“Awesome Mediterranean style food. I eat here a couple times a month. Always so friendly and welcoming when you go in. If you’re afraid of what to order he’ll help you out but it’s hard to beat a chicken shawarma bowl IMO. Whenever I come into the office with this I get asked what it is because it smells so good.”
