Woman Stabbed On Thanksgiving In Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA — An argument between two women escalated into a non-fatal stabbing Thanksgiving night in Long Beach, police said.
Officers received a report of the stabbing at about 8:21 p.m. in the 1700 block of East Pacific Coast Highway Nov. 23. When officers arrived, they saw the victim had non-life-threatening stab wounds to her lower body.
Preliminary investigation results suggest the victim and a woman she knew were involved in an argument that escalated into a stabbing, according to the Long Beach Police Department. As police continued investigating, they discovered the suspect remained at the scene.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Paola Figueroa and police arrested her on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Figueroa was booked into the Long Beach City Jail and her bail was set at $35,000.
