4 Vehicles Struck By Car Pursued By State Police In Manassas
MANASSAS, VA — A pursuit by Virginia State Police led to a suspect vehicle striking three vehicles in Manassas Wednesday.

Police had attempted a traffic stop on a Toyota Corolla turning onto Prince William Parkway around 12:18 p.m. Wednesday. According to state police, the driver did not stop when a state trooper activated emergency lights and sirens. The driver through the intersection and struck a vehicle, which left the road into the grass.
Police say the vehicle continued onto Liberia Avenue and struck three other vehicles, a Honda Odyssey, Chevrolet Malibu and a work van. The suspect driver was taken into custody, and charges are pending.

There were two passengers along with the driver in the Toyota, but no injuries were reported. There were no injuries from the first crash. For the second crash with three other vehicles, fire and rescue treated injuries on scene, but no one was taken to the hospital.
The crashes remain under investigation, according to state police. Liberia Avenue had been shut down near Signal Hill Road due to the incident but has since reopened, according to Manassas city police.
