2 Queens Men, Teen Cuffed After Stolen Car Crashes In Nassau: Police
EAST HILLS, NY — Two men from Bayside and an underage boy were arrested after the stolen car they were in crashed early Friday morning in East Hills, Nassau police say.
Sixth Precinct Officers saw a gray 2017 Infiniti that was reported stolen from the Bronx on March 2, traveling southbound on Glen Cove Road at around 1:20 a.m., and officers turned on their lights and tried to get the driver to pull over, but the car bolted from the scene, according to police.
A short time later, officers found the vehicle after it had struck a tree near the intersection of Glen Cove Road and Harbor Hill Road, and the driver of the vehicle, Kerwin Valdes, 19, was placed under arrest, and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said.

The two passengers of the vehicle, Anthony Betances, 18, and a 16-year-old male juvenile were found nearby and also placed under arrest without further incident, according to police.
Valdes, Betances, and the juvenile are charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property,

Valdes is additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child, as well as numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Valdes and Betances pleaded not guilty at their arraignments Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead and they were released, according to online court documents.
The teen’s arraignment information was unavailable because his name was not released.
